Thread: Major Militia Bug

Ok, I don't care if this has been addressed or not because the topic needs to be /bumped anyway.

A member of our guild who was also a member of the city militia recently removed himself from the guild. He is still a citizen of the city. That's not my concern, he can stay there for the extra vote for all I care.

My concern is that everyday for a week I've removed him from the militia and everyday he is still on the list.

Well, he's imperial now, and he comes into town with other imperials /citywarning all of us and banning rebels that aren't citizens.

THIS IS A MAJOR BUG AND EXPLOIT

I know a lot of people are against the upcoming nerf on the militia commands, but the militia has been nothing but a nightmare for us and this isn't the only reason. I shall welcome the nerf when it comes.

Anyone who can offer a bit of encouragement on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

People who really want to see there cities avoid problems like this should focus on recruiting people they know WELL or thosethat people you know trust and bring in,not mass recruiting. Good idea to make sure the initial 40 or so members are LOYAL to you AND your faction if you are a faction based city. If this guideline is followed, you should not have to worry about losing control of your city in the future (or at least greatly reduce risk).

My city is behind those around me, but we are slowly but surely growing and don't really care about others "beating us to the punch". We are at about 35 members and gaining about 4 to 5 a week, but have no worries. This and when the city is established, I will be able to step down as Mayor and have the luxury of selecting my successor.

Another benefit to this approach is that we have not lost any citizens since the founding of our city. I don't think that many others can claim this. Quality over Quantity will save you many hardships in the long run.

The person you are removing from the militia has to be near the city term when you do so, I believe...which of course is a hassle, especially when the person doesn't want to be removed. We should be able to remove peeps from the militia regardless of online status or proximity to the city term.

Well, the weird thing is, the system actually tells me "that person has been removed from the militia."

Weldon, I never gave you any details about the size of my city, the process by which we recruit citizens and/or guild members, nor the size of my guild. Feel free NOT to take such liberties with unknown facts in the future. Your unconstructive post and accompanying assumptions are not appreciated.

Maybe not very helpful but if their house gets removed and they are no longer a citizen they are automatically taken out of the militia.

You could also try and remove all militia and put back in the ones you want, a virtual re-boot maybe that will do it?
