Thread: Easiest Way to becoming a Politician
I am asking you fellow politicians what skills I need to become one and the fastest way to achieving this
thanks
the only "fastest" way to do it is to be mayor of a city with like 500 people! then you get 5k exp per week! Or if you realy want to power level get you a city with 810 people... then you can lvl all the boxes in one week!
there is no way dude, just having a large popualtion in the city is the only way.
I'm not sure I understand your question.
Like all professions, it there are pre-requisites needed to become a Novice.
In this case, it is 500 Apprenticeship points. There is no way to do this, other than to train other people in any skills that you have. If you have no skills they want, you will not be able to train people.
You get your training from a politician trainer in a planet's Capitol buildling - or from Darkfire's training academy on Tatooine, Naritus - and then you need to find a City to run in, or set-up your own.
Once a Novice, the only way to get XP is by getting votes in a mayoral election - you get 100XP for each vote.
Politician is a PURE profession - there is simply no way to grind it - just read the guidelines & FAQ and follow them! There are no macros, no short-cuts and no tricks - for once!
Everything you need to know if already posted in this forum - that is what it is here for!
Yours,
If you have to ask, maybe the politician profession isn't for you.

I wish this were true. Sadly, politician has proven to be one of the easiest professions to buy your way to master. Server swaping is rampant and I consider this to be a huge shortcut/trick. It is the unsolvable exploit

Have faith - I believe that it will be fixed!
The Devs will want to support those cities, like Darkfire with 100 people, that are genuine and contribute to the game, rather than those to just cheated their way there.
It might take some time, but I'm convinced that Justice will be done - they will just allow only on citizenship per account, or something like that.

I really hope they find another way to fix this situation: because of the one-character-per-server rule (which I agree with, more or less) I have several characters scattered on different servers. If only one character per account could be a citizen, it would leave at least one, if not more, of my characters unable to settle down and contribute to a town. I used to wish bitterly that I could have an alternate on my first server, but now that I’ve had the chance to get out there and try the other severs, I’ve made many friends and tried many classes/skills/things that I would have been missing out on otherwise.
Please, don’t penalize players who are playing their alternate characters the way they were "supposed to" be played - on different servers.
