Thread: Buglist Politician & City

Not sure if that is really a bug or an oversight.
- Unable to remove militia members although it says it does (additionally should be able to remove militia member who is beyond 10m or offline)
- Cloning at a City that has a declared faction forces you to become overt, with no message telling you about your change in declared status.
Since our Top 5 issues don't concentrate on any bugs (which is correct in my opinion - since they are supposed to be a list of things a politician as planed by the devs needs to be more fun) let's collect all known bugs into a list ...
- Cities often don't update for several days (patchnote says "fixed" - let's keep an eye out)
- Cities sometimes update every 24h (patchnote says "fixed" - let's keep an eye out)
- Cities sometimes update and don't give any XP (although they cost maintenance and expand)
- You cannot place a BE-trainer (shouldn't be too hard to implement)
- There is no Spynet Op when placing a bounty-hunter terminal making it pretty useless
- /destroy of gardens often /destroy totally different civic buildings in "close" proximity - could even /destroy city hall !!!
- Some gardens still have invisible walls on some sides (which ones?)
- Shuttle fee resets to 100cr every serverdown
- Player-created ballot boxes with player-created polls "forget" their input at server down
- Decorations/Terminals sometimes get "stuck" giving you a "You can't see [Object]" Message. After CSRs remove these objects you often still have to pay for them (and they might still count against the cap)
- Some /commands need to be ingame ... only make the ban option not usable - we need /setperm admin /stuct /name etc.
What are your major bug concerns? What other bugs have you encountered?
Please get this to the devs ASAP!
Thanks
Swiggy
- Gardens apear as factional on the planetary map and the overlay map
- You can/could name public structures (you can still name gardens) without ever seeing a sign.
- You can't sit on benches or chairs in gardens.
- When a city expands, it is charged the maintenance rate of the expanded city, and not that of what it was during the week you just completed.
We just grew from rank 3 to rank 4 early this morning. Late last night I made sure we had enough money in the treasury to cover the cost of what it told us was the maintenance cost of the city. So, the city updates and I have 8 emails telling me structures were destroyed cause there was insufficient maintenance for them and, a ninth was damaged.
The way I understand it, we pay maintenance for the week in closing. So, we place the city hall, and at the end of the week, we pay maintenance on the previous week. Therefore, we should have been charged the maintenance of a rank 3 city this morning, and not a rank 4. This is a bug and one that can have quite dire consequences. (That, and even those who hadn't noticed it were getting charged too much on weeks they grew).
Here's to hoping it gets fixed, and even sooner that the CSRs will respond to my ticket on the issue and compensate our city.
I just took over as mayor and the following are in play:
1. I am on the ballot 2x once as incumbant and another as opponant.
2. The City will not remove people that have moved away and removed homes AND re-declared resedance.
3. Cannot lift Zoning in the city - Gives me the "You must be mayor" error message
4. Cannot use /grantzoningrights - Gives me the "You must be mayor" error message
5. After removing a trainer from a city the server kicks me out and says loading.
Still cannot place Bio engineer trainers
I've got about 7-8 people now working towards BE for their holo... tired of getting asked each day if its fixed
A couple of bugs I noticed regarding decorations:
1. Streetlamps and Fountains - When you choose "Remove" on a placed lamp or fountain, it often does not truly remove it from the city, and the object will be in your inventory, but not placeable again, and will still have the radial options as if it were placed. The workaround seems to be to choose "Pick Up," then go to the object in your inventory, choose "Remove," THEN choose "Align - direction" (any direction will do.) Then the radial menu for that object will be ok again, and you can place it.
2. Gardens - I had a sack of different gardens, mostly Exotics, and after placing them, then redeeding them through the little park interface panel to rotate or move them, etc., they were then all labeled "A deed for Endor Huts" in my inventory, no matter what type/planet of origin they were actually from. (They did not actually become Endor Huts...lol, thank goodness...but were labeled as such.)
