hehe.. .okay i just started a city on Rori. I'm sure you all know how many huge hills and bumps and holes there are in the terrain.
I was just thinking how awesome it would be if Mayor's could pay (even a hefty fee) to "level terrain" like in Sim City. That would so rock my cities world!!

Yeah, it would be nice, but I know I saw a Devs response to this a long time ago...and it had to do with the fact that all servers have the same terrain and how the games works with that info that would prevent it from working right. Who knows...that could have just been a hot air answer for all I know.

Rori's a beast to build on because of that terrain, that's for sure. I think that's a big reason you don't see many cities on Rori across the servers....it's very difficult to find a flat enough area.
I would strongly recommend working out a city plan for building. You'll need every bit of buildable space, and it's a lot easier if someone has it mapped out and that map gets stuck to 100%. There's nothing wrong with enforcing "building codes" and placing/transfering structures yourself so that it gets put in the right place. The spot we chose on Corellia has many ditches and such, and that's exactly what we do. No one places *anything* unless I give them the OK.

yep this is the best way to go as a mayor who wants a good city.... only one other person has the ability to grant zoning rights, and he is our guild leader and good friend of mine, i don't trust anyone else lol... otherwise we wouldn't have the best layout on radiant

Hmm how about the mudflats near the Borgle bat POI?

I always like unleashing tornado's on my SimCity. Those poor helpless Sims...
But back on topic. I think it would be very difficult for SWG to have a level terraign feature. Which is probably the main reason it hasn't been implemented. Would the land hold it's shape if a city dropped down a size? Lots of other problems arise from shaping the landscape I bet.

Hm, sounds kind of familiar, tell me what you would think about a
Doesn't include the terraforming, which apparently cant be done, but will give you those much needed zoning standards.
