Thread: Focus thread: who should be able to see the current election standings?
I know that in reality, there are polls and everyone knows the results. But in this game, I feel that the standings should be secret from everybody.
1) There has already been at least 1 reported case of the mayor swiping the treasury and nuking the city hall right before he was about to lose.
2) It is commonly accepted fact that knowing who is in the lead and who is behind affects some voters' decisions.

Response by the numbers:
1. We're working on that.
2. It also affects the decisions of people who are thinking about joining the city. More information equals better.
I agree that secret elections would be more fair and better game play. However with XP playing such a big role, people are elections so they can plan out what skill to get and so on.
All in all I think it would be better gameplay to have secret elections. More suspense more exciting. If they want a report, show the results from the preceding election for the entire week.
