I'm afraid the issue won't be important enough for a hotfix , but I'll gladly sign.

We lost our cloning center today, probably also due to the "shifting borders" bug.

I checked all corners of our city and in some places I received the message "You have left.." after approx. 285 m and some places after 300+ mtrs.

Took screenies too.

It's a real shame though, that the bug hasn't at least been acknowledged by now. *sigh*

I used to say the same thing Eseeg, but when I actually checked, I found out I was wrong. Look at the city's waypoint (The one you got when placing the city hall) and compare it against the one in the city information. They should be identical - if they are not, you've shifted.

However, I won't sign this petition, because I don't want a hotfix NOW. I want them to look into it, figure out what's wrong, and give us a hotfix when it's ready. But as a developer myself (Not of games, but still a developer) I can assure you what you'd get now is not what you want. It is the give it to me now attitude that pressures them to release things before they are ready, resulting in these kinds of bugs.

well maybe I should re-word the title (if they allowed that). I don't expect a hotfix like right this minute, but at least for them to say "We realize there is a problem and it is a high priority to fix it"

What we need is for Plinka to tell us that. The correspondants are supposed to be the conduit of information between the devs and us.. At least word it's been brought up on the super duper double secret correspondant forum.

Hmm, this is getting stranger by the minute, the waypoint in my datapad says: -3899, 5955 - and the "Light-Beam" is in the middle of the hall, when I turn it on.

However, the terminal says: -3877, 5956, so whereas one axis is still just about right, the other one is off by 22 mtrs.

When I go to the waypoint indicated by the terminal - it is right *behind* our cityhall.

Incidentally it seems to be that the zoning-limit is counting by *that* waypoint (the one listed in the city's terminal) and *not* by the actual waypoint where the cityhall is.

I'm gonna watch this over the next few days: if the waypoint indicated in the terminal changes, then we might get a bit closer to solving this mystery.

I can save you time. The waypoint changes. I'm very intimately familiar with the center of the city I live in as I mapped the whole thing out including the terrain. (It's -1171, 371, and I'm at work right now and haven't looked at anything with the numbers in it since yesterday) I know for a fact that when the city hall was placed, the two matched up. And I know that nowthey don't. (Here's a hint.. The waypoint for structures, and hence for the city center, are always ODD numbers... If your city has even numbers for it's listed location... You've shifted) The proper place for the city center is about halfway between the door to the city management room, and the BigRedButton room. (AKA the room with the structure management terminal) Just take the coordinates where you stand, figure out the nearest multiple of 8, rounding down (-1174, 368 for the city I live in) and add 3 to both numbers. That should match up with the city hall's waypoint, and with the reported city location.

Thanks Tiaga, then this is what should be fixed (the changing waypoint in the city-terminal) as the zone-limits/borders arecalcualted by that waypoint and not by the one where the cityhall is actually standing. And yes, that very first wp I got when I placed the hall is exactly at the location you describe, only the one in the terminal is off by 20 mtrs.

wow that is good info.. now I need to check (since I place the hall myself and kept the original waypoint given to me) with the city terminal location.

Exactly. I have to wonder if when the border expands (Or moves back) the lost structures will magically reappear or if they will need intervention to recover. Hopefully we won't find out because they will fix it before the end of the week.

Our city radius has now moved 34m...I'm just glad I put all the civics right next to the city hall. (I kinda expected something like this.)
