We have a no build one in our city for base and civic structures. But sometimes people place houses in that area. Most move when I give mails. But some do not not. Can I place a statue at the door way to bock it saying contact the mayor to remove this block? Or if not can I stick it in front of the building as a reminded and embaresment to them.

Also If I the mayor own a base can I the mayor stick astaue at the door way?

Thank You

And if this doesn't get answered and a csr gives me beef I'll direct him here to my question.

You can leave a statue in front of the house named with a message to the player, as long as it doesn't block the door of the house and the name of the statue isn't vulgar or obscene.

No, you can't block a players door. Its considered griefing. No, you can not block the entrance to the base. Beyond not being allowed, its just lame.

Why not just place the statues in the area you want to reserve so no one can place things there, that way there is no need to do any of the other... That is how I reserve the space I want for parks and such...

Why not use the zoning rights option?

I don't think mayors should be placing statues, lamps or anything else to obstruct or interfere with any player as an action against anything towards one of their citizens - FOR WHATEVER REASON! If you can't solve it by communicating between one another, then maybe contact SOE with your problem - if indeed it is an issue worth resolving.

You can and have the option to enforce zoningor youcan place a fountain or other structure in that area to reserve the spot. If you don't enforce zoning - then you're opening the doors to anyone who can planta house, factory or harvester whereverthey want in your city.

If you don't enforce zoning and a player finds a high concentration of resouces in front of your city hall, should he not be allowed to place it there? He has just as much right.

just make a statue and place in front of the door (not blocking it) and let them know to contact you..

The official answer is no, I think people have placed light poles and mission terminals for the same purpose. What you will find is the other side will complain and a csr will come and destroy the obstacle. Or worse destroy the base. Then again if they destroy the obstacle chances are the other side will be there to go in and destroy the base anyway.
