I notice you profession is lacking..I have recently been talking with my guild's mayor and her problems with running a city..

I think it might help if you all make a post of the top 5 issues that need to be addressed to teh Dev's and hopfully one day it will be taken care of..you might want to recruit others from other professions to help you seeing as there are so few of you..

Here are the top five issues i have with politician

1. Cant remove players house from your city..I understand it cant be isntant..But you as a mayor should ahve the right to remove someone from your town. the remove process should be something like this..you click on there house hit evict. an email goes to them and they have 30 days to remove there house and possessions..if they do not the next time they log on there house is in there personal storage and a no drop container is locked(having it locked removes the exploit of having more room onyou thenintended)til it is placed on the floor of there house at its new house location can be opened..Also can not pick up anymore items if items from container has made you exceed your aloted storage. This will force you to place your items in a house or to place your house and put your items in it..

2.Tax's...income tax's should be able to max it at 10k not 2k..sales tax should be able to go as high as 20% property tax as high as 20%...It should be at the mayors choice to be set..Email should be sent when it has changed...( i would like it to be able to set it different foreach house say if your by the water you can increase the amount for having a better veiw..but i know that wont happen, but i can dream)

3. Militia, and mayor(if there on and on the same planet)should be warned when a player of the oposite overt faction or someone that has been baned has entered the city limits.

4. Veiwable source of income...how much money has come in from property tax income tax and sales tax.

5. Militia and mayor should be able to see a colored line at the boarder of the city so when placing a building that can see if it will be with in city limits..

Well those are the 5 things i would like to see put in to the politician profession..

Most of those things have already been brought up and either answered, although by CS, or logically deduced as to why they can't or won't work. The ones that will are also well known to Pappi and just about any politician however our developer is involved with the expansion and likely will be thrown at one of the revamps after that so any actual changes that are more then just novel typos or game breaking bugswon't occur for many months.

Well Im not giving up...I can wait for expansion to be done...but other then that there is no reason any of those idea cant be done..

And still think a top 5 issues need to be posted so other can say hey we want this fixed or added to our porfession...

NO BUMPING

how many times have I mentioned that I *do* read these, and I've brought up EVERY SINGLE POINT with the devs already?

The Devs are making plans in the future to look at Player Cities and GCW.

I read your top 5 issues but as a mayor I find although some are minor inconveniences, are not necessarily TOP issues:

1. Cant remove players house from your city

This will be a hard one to resolve as some playersgo away for extended periods (possibly 3 - 6 months). Should they lose their houses and belongings just because they are part of a city ?

Also, having a few extra houses lingering in a city doesn't seem a big problem to me. Also, a mayor's position is to build a city - not evict - maybe that'smore of a GCW thing - Players voluntary join you city and you accept them - why evict them and what harm can they do remaining someplace they're not wanted ?

2. Up the limit to 10k Tax

I findmany players think 2k a week tax is expensiveandmany also think PC's are expensive enough as it is. And, they can always voluntarily put money into the treasury. Just imagine, 50 cits @ 10k = 1/2 mill a will = 2 mill per month. (and that's based on only 50 cits - there average cost is about 380K) - add that to the shuttle and garage fees and now you've got way too much building upin the city treasury - - I think....

3. Militia & Mayor. I think the devs will be working on Player Cities and how they play a role in GCW. I don't think, they realized how the current /cityban could be exploited.

4. Income - ya, that would be good.

5. City limit border - ya, that would be nice.

Overall, I feel the TOP #1 issue is mayors resignation.

#2. Is how PC's will operate in GCW, alson with strongholds, bases, turrets, mines, city ban, city warn etc...

#3. Is to implement a method to remove inactive cits from the cit list much as the 6 weeks of inactivity. This is good to clean up the cit list of static/ghosts cits. Maybe, even cut it to 4 weeks as long as the mayor get advanced notification so that they can recruit where necessary.

These are nice to have but not detrimental.

- fixing the shutte cost (always defaulting to 100 at every server touch)

- income

- city limits

My thoughts

Well first they arent declared residnace. they are not in our guild. There guild doesnt respect our guild and we have had issues with them. They are leaving the house there to grief us. Another thing i said was that the house would not be destroyed when evicted. It would go in there personal inventory If it maxed them out then they better set it down. The houses maintaince would continue to tick away. They would not allowed to trade or buy anything but starports and shuttles til the house was placed.

Then dont live in that town..Our town the 2k is not enough. If you dont like the taxes move out of teh city its the mayors close to decide the taxes.

This si my number three issue. Or similar at least..

You mean just remove it off the list of citys in teh map data pad? I dont think this is as big of an issue as it is an inconvenience.

Over all we have similar fixes in mind..

that I can not agree with, with a lot of the players in the game being in the military and being called away for a long period. I believe as long as the house is maintained they should stay part of said city.

this would be part of the eviction thing..and 4 weeks after an account has been canceled should be enough..but also think it should be like an eviction everything goes in there inventory..until there accoutn is deleted from teh harddrive of the servers they should ahve fair chance at getting there stuff back just in case they return..

Well they just anounced the complete removal of accounts that have been deleted for 6 months so that should clear up a bit of the housing issues.

But I do think that the inactivity rule comes back into place.

I agree with raising tax maximums slightly as all my citizens have agreed 2k for income tax is chicken feed. They make enough for taxes just going on one hunt (heck sometimes even one mission). It's only hard for newer players
I agree with a better breakdown of taxes/income
I disagree with the faction alarm thingy.

and I can't remember the rest LOL
