Heya, just wanted to introduce myself, Mayor Moppi Kerfloppi, of Pitiful Plateau on Talus -Valcyn. Just started my city last week, and I look forward to watching it grow (just not too much). Quick rundown on Pitiful Plateau, first off, yes it actually is on a plateau, (how I managed to fit everything in there, I don't know) but there isn't a whole lot of room for growth; by design though. The town sits on uneven ground, and there are some houses on hills and some houses on flat ground, and they all take advantage of the natural "roads" that run across Talus, making it look like a small little village. (except for the 200-ft tall city hall in the middle of nowhere. hehe..) I plan on putting some nice little streetlamps around, and squeezing in a few more small houses to see if I can get up to 20 people; which is my goal.
Also being of the Master Architect school, I've got a plan to sell fully furnished and decorated small houses as summer homes, and see if I can't attract a few residents that way. I don't plan on putting up lots of large civic structures, or charging alot for taxes, if any, I want to make my town a small retreat for anyone tired of living in a giant uninspired mall; apologies if you're the one who built it =)
Anywho, don't have the coordinates on hand, but if you're on Valcyn and want to check it out, email Moppi, and i'll send ya a waypoint. Otherwise, I'm working on a website with some screenshots, meant to look like a housing community pamplet, and i'll post it when and if I ever finish it
-Okedoke, thats my introduction

Congrats and good luck with your city. I have always had a lot of fun doing city layout and planning and nothing more fun than watching a city grow.
What I wish I did before we built the city we are in now is that I took some screenshots of the area before. It was so rural before, and now that we have 100 residents it looks so different it is hard to believe it is the same area.

I went to another server alongwhile ago,and for fun I went to the spot where our citycurrently stands on Starsider. It was very eerie seeing the flat plains dotted by trees and nests where my instincts were telling me my city should stand.
I vowed at that moment not to let anything happen to my city, whatever it takes--it was a very very eerie sight.

Oooh thanks for giving me the idea. I will go on another server and get some "before" shots
