Greetings,
I'm new to Politics, so if this isn't something unusual, my apologies. I recently took over as Mayor for a City, my level is 1/0/0/0. Zoning was enabled and previous to my appointment I was on the militia and able to grant zoning rights.
When I log in today, someone on the militia was having trouble granting zoning so I ran over to help them out and I got the message:
"You have to be the Mayor or a member of the militia to grant zoning rights."
Well, I'm both! Anyone else having this issue? I understand that I don't have the ability to make changes to the militia until I level further, but it was my understanding that everything currently going in the city would stay the same when I took over.
Any help would be appreciated!

Ok, I really hate to ask this. But was your or the militia member inside or outside of a building?
Zoning rights can only be granted outside of buildings.

Got it in one! I was just talking to a Guildie and he asked the same question, I bet that was it! Appreciate the reply.

Sorry, but to change the title of a thread to: 'Closed - Thanks' is a bit silly. Other people may have the same question as you andmay notlook at this thread now. And they may post the same question... Change it back to what it was
