This is completely based on IF the sales tax ever works again.
With the fact that you will be able to purchase items from someone's vendors from any bazaar how will this effect sales tax in cities?
Soyou can buy a product from some bazaar anywhere at a certain price......but when you go to pick it up, were does the city tax go?
Im all for the new change.....but the effect it will ahve on us politicians and the finanicial problems we are already having in our cities this is going ot make it even worse. The fact that people can buy items cheaper on the bazaar than in the city is not going ot be good for the tax base that we create.
Anyone else forsee this as being a problem in some way?

yes, it's one of the first questions I asked when the patch came out. no response yet, and it's probably not necessary to cross post

it's an important concern which I've already brought up with the devs. I don't think anyone here or on the merchant forum is going to say it's *not* a problem, and until the devs give me an answer there isn't much we can do about it.
technically it's not a strict politician issue, I'm (as usual) covering more than I need to do =/

Well excuse the heck out of me Pappi.....
But guess what....this is what the forums are for...and that is asking about what we care about.
And frankly...im growing weary of some of your responses sometimes. It seems that this is more of a task to you than something you enjoy........
And if thats the case...maybe you should step down and let someone that enjoys the time that they spend on this...instead of bitching about it all the time.

Would we get to vote on something like that?
I've got a real good idea who I would =not= vote for...

Im not sure who you mean......i wouldnt want this posistion, as much as i love this profession....i just dont simply have the time being in Law Enforcement in RL.
All im saying is PAppi seems tocrab about what is being posted all the time, and in every post that i have started at least has seemed to me that some things are a nuisance to her than anything.
Im tired of issues seeming like that to her.....regardless on how much she says she works on it.

Rather than wait and wait for a response from the devs, couldn't this just be tested on TC? It should be simple enough. We *know* sales tax works at a 10% rate. Just set the tax in a Player City at 10%, have someone use the bazaar to remote purchase something for sale in the city, and see if the treasury goes up. That should tell you if it works or not pretty easily.

God forbid we actually discuss continuing problems and not roll over. The views on this matter from Politicians, Merchants, Crafters, and Consumers are going to be different and valuable in each role. To not talk about it would be a mistake.

This is a good idea. Does anyone have access to a city on TC-Eclipse that we could use to test?
