To help solve the problem of 'mystery houses' (harvs, factories etc) that sit there in our cities, blocking development or otherwise interfering with our lives and jobs as Mayors, I propose that a mayor-onlyCivic Status command be added to the radial menu of harvesters, factories, and house/tent signs within city limits. (There should probably be a matching /civicstatus command so we can put it on anF key.)
The command would pop up a subset of /structurestatus showing
- The owner of the structure;
- The size of the maintenance pool, - or -
- The percentage of damage, whichever applies.
That's all. You don't need to go inside houses, because the command hangs from the sign instead of the structure terminal.No powers of eviction or anything griefable like that. Maybe you add the number of items in the home - just so when the mayor writes an email to the owner, she/he can say 'You're going to lose a lot of stuff...'
This is my personal #1 issue as a Mayor. If you agree that we need /civicstatus, please /sign.

This would be incredibly useful. We only have 35 citizen, most of which are members of our guild, but we already have some houses that I have no idea who they belong to.

not necessarily this way but some kind of interface to figure out who owns which buildings etc., is greatly needed.

The problem is that most people aren't inclined to name their house anything that has to do with their character name, making it impossible to contact mystery citizens based on sign alone.
