Ok, so I did it. I figured I might as well pick up the title so I dropped another Artisan skill and I picked up Master Politician.

So, now what??? My city is mature. I might need to place a park here or there, I might need to grant someone zoning rights sometimes, I might even be asked to change the taxes. Ok. What else?

Why am I keeping this profession? Seriously, please give me a good reason to keep this profession. Anyone?

I kept it for 45 seconds if that. With how hight the XP caps are I am dropping skills for other points. I figure I can go back to tier 4 in any box whenever I need to. Until they do something nice for master there is no point. Im down to a 4,1,1,4.

As far as I know, the city specialization stays in even if you drop the skill. So I may soon be just a novice politician with a ton of XP.

I dropped Master Politician real quick like myself. You do have to keep Novice Politician or else your city is destroyed. I'm waiting to find out if I can drop Fiscal Policy IV and keep the Research Specialization.

No reason to keep it at this time, just drop what you don't need. But I am sure that at some point it will be worth having, so it is a good idea to keep enough xp to retrain to master when they add something for it.

I got Master last week. Kept it for two days to show the title to people. Dropped it. Ran my alt against myself. Lost. And now basically the metropolis mayorship is parked on my Alt until someone really wants it, or I quit the game.

Oh an congrats by the way.

Thanks for the congrats.

Glad to hear that I'm not crazy.

If you hear loud thumping, just ignore it. It's just me dropping skills. <thump> <thump>

Congrats.

I have dropped just about all politician skills. I have enough experience to go from novice to master at any time, should the need arise. Given the current nature of the profession, I will wait for some gameplay to arise, while continuing to manufacture my own.
