I'm sorry if this has been answered before but I looked and couldn't find it...

If a player lays down a structure, personal or civic, and then deletes their character (with others on the admin list to pay maintenance) does the building stay or vanish?

This is specifically aimed at a player city cantina, but it would be nice to know about regular homes as well.

It works like this.

If you delete your toon and create a new one....it goes bye bye.

If you stop paying/cancel your acount, your building will stay there until they decay to death. The reason for this is because when you cancel your account isn't deleted and therefore is still "technically" active. But the rules apply, one your building decays it goes away just like normal.

Hope this helps clear up the issue.

That seems pretty sensible.

Thanks!

Not true.. you can make a char drop anything you want then delete the character and the items stay. I had a buddy who played from day 1, he dropped some harvs for me then quit (and yes he deleted the character first as he wanted to try some other races first)

So he dropped.. deleted character played for a month or so then quit...

Been 5 months since then.. they are still pulling hard.

I expect them to poof at some point.. but for now.. they are there..

if this is the case, then they are grandfathered. because not too long after release, they patched that ability because of so many people getting use of harvesters without costing lots.

besides... why would you want those old decrepid harvesters from way back in the day now anyway?

When you say delete do you mean quit the game, or delete the character to start a new one on the server? If a person deletes it I imagine everything is zapped. However, if people simply don't renew their account I have seen buildings persist for a long time.
