Thread: What have you done after you left the mayor office?

I wondering what others have gone after they given up the mayor seat in the city they govern.
Myself I founded a town on Naboo and ruled it for many months until I reached Master Politican and was kinda forced to leave my office for a new mayor, (real nice to see that more people wanted to try this prof) and was voted out around 2 months ago.
I become vice mayor and did the normaly stuff like granting people zoning rights, helping out on events etc, for some time when the new mayor had to leave swg and we was forced to vote for a new mayor. Well it didnt take long before a mayoress turned up and she have been in power for 3 weeks now, and manage to pull the city out of a period of changes and some issues that sooner or later happens to most towns.
I have become a respected citizen in the town, people listen to my concerns and advises when something is decided on the towns meetings. My knowledge after all those months as mayor have as well made me teacher for the new mayor when questions about the prof arrisen.
What have happen to everyone else after the decided to leave the seat of power, have you just forgotten about it?

I can't leave... 
Not only is this what I play the game for, but I feel a real sense of satisfaction in trying to organize the city. I have been working with this groupfor over a year now... While being a founding designer I actually turned down the mayorship acouple times... but now that Ifinally decided to accept the responsibilty I am so thoroughly entrenched I couldn't imagine wanting out.
Still, I don't consider it my city, it is and always has belonged to the citizens. I just am fortunate enough to act as their agent in so many matters... Probably not the sort of response you were looking for, but to me this profession has the potential of being the greatest in the game. And, while it is far from perfect currently, I find new ways everyday to further improve upon the process of being mayor. This is really a large part of what I love about it so much... It is pure problem solving.

I was mayor of Vicimus Naboo (Wanderhome) from day 1 until February 4rth I believe. I requested to be relieved as mayor as I wasn't enjoying the game anymore and needed to have time to actually play it. The city of Vicimus at that point was over 100 citizens and the daily /tellhell was overwhelming and I just could not take it anymore. On the first try, I was voted otu of office and Magna was voted in. She has been mayor ever since. For the first while she used me as an advisor so some of the /tells remained, mostly from her asking about all the undocumented stuff.
I went on to play both of my toons and started to enjoy the game again. My ex-mayor toon Okie is now a musician and image designer and enjoys that immensely. My second toon was just recently deleted (Was a Tusken wannabe fencer/rifleman) and is now a Wookiee tailor/merchant.
Nowadays, I am very happy and a member of a fine city run by a fine mayor. I'm happy that I was a politician and I'm happy I was the mayor of a wonderful city. But honestly, I would never want to do it again. It wasn't that I wasn't getting anything out of it (I realised up front that mayor was a charity profession where you give give give), it was that I was giving all of my time towards the maintaining of the city and addition of new people and planning and and and and....
I'm happy to be where I am now.

Since gaining the APP to become a polotician when it first launched I have been Mayor of Kabar. Originally stationed on tatooine i decided that due to a number of reasons that the city shud be moved. Since that day Kabar has been a key role in the battle for Theed for the rebellion.
Only 3km from theed and 2k from Lake Retreat we are in an ideal situation. I love being mayor of the city i have become a key corospondant for rebellion happenings on the server. But since mastering the skill about 3 weeks ago i feel its time to pass on the experience and trust to my ingame brother. I will really miss being a polotician and my role will seem fairly empty. But as guildmaster and with a role on the militia i still have plenty to do.

I left for the corporate sector as that is where the credits are. Retirement is good, especially with the credits skimmed from the city treasury. I've been known to have a bit too much brandy and roam the town committing minor acts of vandalism. The current mayor 'takes care of' any of these indescretions.... and no matter how bad I park, I never get a ticket.
