Politician Archive
Thread: Strongholds. Should we get a politician or not?
Well - but it doesn't say anything about what militia members means. Do we have to be 1 "mayor" with 20 "militia members" then, which in reality is the PA?
And is it not possible to get fortified walls, turrets - things we need to keep the mob away? Even though we're not factionally aligned?
Stronghold is only useful if you are factionally aligned and have a base within the city limits. We are a very strong pvp city, and this is what we have as a speciality. Truely, I would see no use for this if you are a neutral city. Would be better to have one of the other specialities.

Hopefully i can answer these in order for you...
The bonus will only apply to fighting inside the city (City = Level 3), and only to city militia memebers (cities are separate entities from guilds). To assign militia memebers, you will need a mayor with the skill Martial Policy 1. Have each resident you would like in the militia come to city hall, and the mayor can assign them to the militia. To become a strong hold, you must be Level 3. To make the city into a stronghold, you will need a mayor with the skill of Martial Policy 3. Once the stronghold has been set, and the militia members assigned, the mayor does NOT need to keep the skills for the bonus to stay. Kind of like Merchants and vendors, only on a city scale.
No, there are no walls or turrets. Its a sore spot for some. We'll leave it at 'no'.
Hope that helps.
Hopefully if any of this is wrong, my fellow mayors can tell me to shut the hell up and stop posting. ![]()
