HI,

I have taken over the mayorship of Northstar City on Naboo.

After a 2 week campaign trail I eventually got enough people to vote to overhall our Incumbrent Mayor NSA'Frost's 104 Votes...

The issue now is that although I won the election (53 votes to 51) I have NO mayoral powers whatsoever..

Even though I won the election.. I have not been given any of the mayoral rights.. In addition our current mayor has lost all of his..

After the election an e-mail message was sent to every citizen that read.... "Congratulations to the incumbent mayor Kruppe Rift for retaining his position in office.." - or something to that effect. So for a start the e-mail is bugged in that whoever wins seems to be the incumbent mayor (note the name was correct).

I contact CSR who stated they thought it could take up to a week for the powers to transfer... This surely cannot be right.. It has been 6 days now and I stil have no powers, I cannot even grant zoning rights.. (it says I have to be the mayor of a member of the militia)

Has anyone else come up against this HUGE bug in the game, as currently our city is effectively without a mayor..????

I am currently 1-1-2-1 in Politician...

I checked the voting terminal imediately after the election that I won, it stated NSA'frost as the only candidate with 0 votes, I then re-listed to run as mayor, and it gave me all 104 votes (our complete number of citizens), so our terminal looks like...

Incumbent Mayor NSA'Frost 0 Votes
Kruppe Rift 104 Votes.

The city terninal says you're mayor but you have no mayor rights? Who does the terminal say is mayor?

Can you register to run against the incumbent??

Can't say I've seen this one happen before : Someone reported getting more votes than the incumbent but still lost once.

Definitely reissue your help ticket. While it takes a week for player associations votes to transfer to the new guild leader, cities do not work that way.

I'd try and get everyone to vote for you again before the next election.

Well strangely enough this seems to have resolved itself..

We had another elevtion (6 days after the one I won) - and it sent out a correctly worded Kruppe Rift has taken office for the first time) type thing, and I now have all my mayoral powers...

So it would seem that during a mayor transfer, it takes a week between the incumbent loosing his powers to the new guy gaining his ???

How strange, at least everything is sorted now (unless we were stealth fixed by a CSR !!!)

I forwarded this anyway (about 5 minutes before you posted that it's fixed, oops... but I added an update note there too), and I've heard that it's not the first time something like this happened. I'm going to keep my post there though and see what kind of response I get

I forwarded all this to a CSR, and he wants to thank you for submitting the information he also came to your city and found items that you deleted but is still being charged for, so he deleted those as well. your city maintainance should be lower now

Err.. was this a miss post.. as I never stated we were paying for things previously deleted..

If the CSR did this for us anyway then great
