Thread: simple question with surely no simple answer
Wait for the inactive player rule.
It will be nearly impossible to bring down a lvl 4 city. You have to infiltrate it with more then 55 player who votes you. You cannot get the votes of the old citizens, because they must be inactive otherwise it would be not a ghost town. Its nearly impossible to take this way.
well they ve removed it so i doubt that it will come back in time

... I remeber a post that a CSR intervened in the destruction of a city (the citizens also stating it was "griefing") - I'm unsure, if the ex-mayor was banned - I think the city was supposed to be rebuilt by CSRs (there was a considerable amount of arguing if a CSR had the right to do that) - now if the deleting player wasn't banned, it would be interessting to know what would happen if a CSR with simulare intent to go this far (rebuilt a "legaly" destroyed city) would be able to decrease the rank of the city (yours?) that would take it's place in the rank 4 limit (with the luck of getting the time right).
But as you would try to take over the city with the sole intent to destroy it - yes, I would think this act can easily be declared as "griefing" - unless of course you bought the citizens with their knowledge of your intent - but then you could just buy the citizens out of that city, into yours or somewhere else o.O
well i asked the same question in a csr ticket and got an answer
taking over a city by outvoting or bribing the mayor is a legal game technique

taking over the city is not the problem here - deleting it is ... especialy taking over a city with the only intent of deleting it
Getting elected on the platform that you want to dismantle a city is not griefing imo.
Consider the case where someone drops a city hall next to a bunch of existing houses. The existing people start getting hit with taxes. They don't want a city. They elect a mayor who destroys city hall.
Only one time have I read here that a mayor has been warned (banned?) for threatening to destroy the city hall. Lemme see if I can remember what happened...
Basically they mayor somehow got into arguement with the the guild/citizens that lived there. He threatened to destroy the city hall. They said ok destroy it, we'll put a new hall down. If he got voted out, he said he'd destroy it and put harvester in it's spot blocking any future city hall. They caught it with chat log and /report. Since he was intentionally trying to damage other players game experience, it was deemed 'griefing' and a new mayor was elected.
That is the only time I remember reading about it on this board. I posted on the tread.. you could go through my post history if you wanted to try and find it.. I think it was near the start of the year.
Edit: Found the thread...

I am new to the politician profession, and i want to know what happens to my city if i delete my alt char who is mayor atm (but my other char is running against it and is in the lead) ... I started a city with my alt character and then decided i would like to be mayor with my main character so i am running for mayor against myself (alt char). Now I am planning on deleting my alt char and wonder what will happen to the city if the mayor disappears before the new elections go through (which my main character will win). Can anyone advise me on this?
Very much appreciated.
