First week of writing this thread as your correspondent *wiggle* I want to change the format of this thread slightly, and hopefully to our advantage. I might try out a few different ideas, but here's this week's:

each post will still include a "how my city is doing" part, but you'll also get a chance to address some of your concerns to me as a politician. (although please keep it short and sweet, I'm still trying to adjust to the amount of issues I suddenly have to deal with O.o) please separate the two sections somehow, and *please* don't ask me questions I can't answer (such as something being reviewed by TH)

I will post my own "this week" after I finish posting the other threads

Greetings.

Just last week, I started a new city on Lok on the Ahazi server by the name of New Sernpidal. However, i am having a hard time recruting and getting people to join my city, so we're still at the outpost level. this really sux, because we cannot charge taxes, so therefor i have to pay the city maintinance my self. Other thatn that, we have a pretty successful city, abet still rather small.

Hows my city doing? Well.. Good and Bad.

Controversy has come to my city via PVP.

We made the decision to place bases as a Rebel city. This house always been our intent as a Role playing element for our city and PA. It has been very good on our city economy. Traffic thru the Shuttleport and in our mall has really helped the city to prosper. However 5 bases and about 10 turrets later we have been ruthlessly slandered by Imp's whining about the power of manned turrets. We have been accused of cheaters and exploiters. Even after we brought CSRs into the picture to explain how the turrets work and that in fact though overpowered they are being used as per their function in game, well untill they are tweaked/gimped. Note that while not happy about having to dodge the gauntlet created by the turrets not all of the imperials are jumping on the bandwagon and we have even been praised with a great fight by a number of them.

My advice at this time. Be very careful about your decision to factionalize your city and place things like bases.

Our city is doing pretty well. We lost metro two weeks ago due to houses imploding and a couple of trouble makers being driven out of town. I may have the task of implimenting a small property tax even thoguh we running tax free and on donations.

We have over 9mil in surplus so what I will do I think, is tell my citizens that if the treasury dips below say...6mill i will re-introduce property tax to offset the difference in incoming funds. This week I am tallying the actual income. this should give me a rather decent idea of how fst we would sink without donations or taxes. I believe that your citizens should be informed of the financial status of the city at least every two weeks. I may even implement a thermometer type of donation meter on my website to show the weekly goal need to sustain the city for the week.

City/politician Issues:

I hit Master Politician this week only got a title and a badge.

first thing i would rather have "Mayor of Mos Alianza" under my name at master instead of "Master Politician"

that is my only gripe about my reward for getting here. As for my citizens and vistors, Why not let me place all the trainers out at master? That alone would give many mayors reason to gain and keep master Poli.

Also I would like verified that cities are paying double for terminals and trainers

on the city terminal they ar listed as city structures AND terminals & trainers

Have a good week!

Utkata, Talus - Ahazi

Our city has had a wonderful week so far. We've grown quite a bit in the past few weeks, and have been able to finally place the cloning center and the medical center. Next week, we're hoping (caps permitting) to get our shuttleport. Not interested in going all the way up to metropolis, we just want that shuttle! This is the second city I've been the mayor of, and we did this one right. I feel very proud of all the hard work our citizens have been doing to help the city grow and make it beautiful.

On a personal level, I FINALLY reached Master Politician after being the mayor of a small town since towns were launched. It felt great.. but no reward. Did they ever say why they took the double specializations away? Here's hoping we get something for it someday. I did mention to the devs when I was at E3 that we needed some politician love.

First post here now, so how is my city doing ? Great

Drifter's Oasis is a Rebel aligned city on the Starsider server. Tatooine is our favourite planet and the already long existing city is now back on track. After the incumbent mayor resigned from SWG, we were struggling to get the votes together, but finally, on Sunday we did it ! I was voted into office and after the city cycle was beaming in, we also upgraded from Township to City. We immediately built a shuttle and the highly desired merchant tents for our crafters and merchants to sell their wares. We plan to do some big events that are already structured and will be advertised soon. All in all, a very constructive and motivated feeling here right now. That was a good Monday

Our city is doing great but oddly one griefer has the ability to make a big stink. Need a way to uncitizenship a griefer so that they can be city banned. Hopefully causing them to move out. Very negative but a real situation we have no control of.

Status: Great

With Mayor AKymie Marshall moving on to other things, we were able to elect a new mayor the first week after announcing her resignation. As of this morning Hellsfire has taken over the leadership of the city. The polls were close but Hellsfire gained 32 votes to AKymie's 30. The win by Hellsfire took a lot of effort by all of our city leaders to pull the citizens in to vote. In the long run, this demonstrates that we do have an active population.

Rogue, Corellia; Flurry Galaxy

After dipping below the 500k make in the treasury, I had to really petition for donations. Luckly, we got about 3m in donations in one week, so that will keep us going for a little while. Other than that, not too much going on with us.
