I know in January, we're having a special city mission thats been especially designed to whre 2 NPCs will be buying off player votes with some neat loot
Would it be possible to get a clarification on this? This comment by Thunderheart has gone without being elaborated upon for close to a month now and may be nearing implementation. His quote has been the topic of an ongoing thread, and there have been many concerns posted regarding it. The consensus is that this content may potentially take experience points away from a Novice Politician. It may also further concentrate power among those that have already mastered Politician if residents move to large, established player cities where the mayors (who have already achieved their XP max) would not be inclined to discourage residents from participating in this content.

so what happens if they buy all the votes??????
does a npc take over the city lol
npc takes 10 votes (less than 50%).. incumbent get 7 votes.. challenger gets 8 votes in a25 citizen village!? who wins?
I understood the votes being bought as ones that were taken out of the election count. So the example of 25 citizens and 10 NPC, 7 incumbent, 8 challenger: therewould only be 15 votes with the challenger winning 8 to 7.
Hm. You realize if they do this, most active players will want the loot (since there'sso little decent loot in game)and will sell out their mayors. The towns that won't be hurt too badly by this will be the ones who have server swapped citizens. Once again, the folks that chose the quick, easy grind to level their cities will have advantage over those of us trying to do it honestly...
I don't really consider this good politician content, since I thought content was supposed to enhance gameplay. This will only enhance stress and frustration...
Good point. Umm, I welcome a challenge from an NPC. Bring it on. I wanna see an NPC run my city for a week while the citizens freak out cos everything breaks
