A lot of items in the game have way too much space around them. Small houses (specifically round naboo), merchant tents, the bank, gardens, hell everything is too big. It's a real valiant attempt to stop us from putting things side by side, but it's overkill. No way a merchant tent should beas big as it is.

i just want to try to fit things into my damm city. but short of forcing all the players of owning nothin larger then a medium house and placing no decorations its not that easy given terrain and stuff

I still don't understand why gardens have ledges. I mean come on, it's supposed to be an archway however you have to walk up steps in order to walk through it, then down some more and up a few more steps in order to go through yet another?! Let them be on the ground and use the camp auto leveling feature to make it look nice, is it really that difficult? Cities are seeming more and more like random collection of homes (like we had) with bigass things looking out of place popping up randomly that have large gaps around them. Now City halls and cantinaslookingout of placeis a given, they should and honestly I like how they are skyscrapers on Corellia. However why is it that cloning centers and med centers look like a 3 year olddesignedthe outside? NPC cities look perfect because stuff was made to look like an actual city, and yet what do we get to do? Not enough streetlamps, stupid looking gardens and unless they're all mediums you have alleys every 5 feet that you can berth a star destroyer in. Oh well things can only go up right?

i love the fact you cant place a statue within an extra 5m from a garden, so if its a large garden the closet a statue could get would be around 20m from the edge of the percieved steps but i defiently agree about that, reason they did odd #'s is to match up with the city hall/guildhalls, as they have odd numbers on frontsides.

I agree I placed a large garden the other day and by the overhead I was getting I thought it would be HUGE come to see no they just want NOTHING near it *pout* I either want a large garden or I want less space taken from my city. Also I want to be able to place a garden between the pillers in front of the city hall dad gum it. my idea for a town square got shot when I saw I couldn't do that.

oh i totaly agree with you. I think gardens should be like statues and lamps and just be the item. i was able to put a few staues in that space and a few lights it looked ok. Id also like to have benches as a dropable item. we are near a lake and id like to put down some benches by the shore.
