Someone on Kettemoor's Trade Forum is trying to sell a city. You can't transfer mayorship to someone else so on earth can you sell a city that you don't own?

Here is the seller's latest post:

"Alright, for those who are worried about the whole mayor and voting issue, once spoke with, ill hand u a cityhall deed, once then, ill destroy my city hall, then all u do is place urs and then all residents are yours and goodluck "

What happens to the city structures if you destroy the city hall?

Guess he doesn't realize that even if the city hall is replaced that you can just have someone run against the new mayor.

So people just have too much money to spend. Destroying the city hall invalidate all civic structures and they are destroyed. The theatre, hospital and cantina will remain, but the city will restart at rank 1 and most likely never get back to its original rank.

I was offered 50 million to sell my city. Needless to say I turned her down flatly. I just dont know what people are thinking, like I can just do a /transfercity command or give them one "deed: rank 4 city with all structures and parks". The arrogance of some people in this game. Millions of fantasy credits doesnt really mean much.

its kinda great to think we have something alot of little powergamers want and cant have i was offered about 150mil from someone i know is a exploiters and all around not a good person, after having her yell at me about how money is the center of all i explained to her im not a "buyable" mayor im not even going to let you be a citizens now, so go away before i call my militia of overt factions of you opposing faction, and look your overt, bye now
being a mayor is more then just having the credits and resources to back it, there is alot more to it look at the big cities webpages and interactive stuff outside of the game, people gotta know how there really working with, not just the fact that you "cant" just sell it but it would not work from a social point of view

gotta love it, something they can throw money at

I'd think the assumption would be that this "mayor" would be selling the right to take over -- "sell" the city, then step down after convincing the townspeople to vote for the "buyer".

..a bad investment, if you ask me.. considering the difficulty to step down in the first place.

It's an Imperial City and has 12 bases all the adminities any other city of level 4 would have. My biggest concern would be how do you know you will ever get control? Once in control, who is say you aren't voted out and the original mayor put back in a week later? Seems like a huge risk on the buyers part not to mention what would happen if a Rebel in disguise bought the city just destroyed all the bases. Risky risky risky.

Haha! Great scam. Sell your city, get the citizens to vote you back in and then sell it again!

Drab, curious, who was this person? Since we are on the same server, it could have been the same player. When you said known exploiter it made me think of one person, but then you said 'her' and now I wonder if the same player asked to buy my city... though she only offered 1/3 that amount! That $%&*#!!
