I'm not real hopeful about the answer here, I figured I should ask anyway. We are now in the p[rocess of getting all the houses in our city arranged in nice neat little rows so it isn't all helter skelter. Unfortunately, we have one resident who has their house arranged the wrong way and is thus taking up valuable space (we are only a village in a particularly rocky region, so space is at a premium). We have reason to belive that this person may have left the server or at least abandoned the house. In any case, it would be nice if we could remove this house and even better if we didn't have to wait for the 3 week inactivity rule to take effect. Is there anything we can do?

jack property tax up sky high, refund it to all the people that are still playing. let them know ahead of time that you plan to do this. also check if anyone knows the owner of the house IRL so they can warn him. if he comes back and his house and gear are gone hes probably gonna throw a fit.

When was the last time you saw him???? I wouldnt tax him out just yet unless it has been a long time.

Also, the 3 or 6 week rule isnt going to help you..That is only for citizenship.

Mayors should be able to dish out eviction/active notices. Give them a set amount of days to respond to the notice or their house will be redeeded and their items would be held for 3 weeks on a city item vendor for them to collect. If people cancel their account then any static structures should immidiatly be removed, I dont think its fair leaving it ingame till it decays. I could put enough maintenance in my house to last for years.

I have never actually met him myself. He was inducted into our guild and put up a house in our city. Like a day or 2 later he left the guild mthout saying a word and he hasn't been seen in over a week. Our guild leader is pretty cheesed (he also happens to be my Secretaryof Urban Planning). It is possible he might still come back, but I am just trying to figure out my options in case he doesn't.

1 week? lol! In my city, there was an ill-placed house for 4-5 weeks, when i was finally able to meet up with the guy, I gave him a large house to trade for his, in order for him to move it. Offer him a few 100k's i'm sure he'll move, and if he's a ghost, then the maintenance on his house will run out within a month or so.
