I won't be able to check until tonight after I get home from workto see how many citizens I lost.

I'd be interested to know how it is affecting other people though.

None lost yet for me. I question the legality of this though as its basically stating someones 15 bucks a month is less worth then the next guys. And its an attempt at forcing people to play the game. Are any of you lawyers ? if so please consider the legality issues. Not to mention its grocely unpatriotic to punish the IRAQ vets for not being able to play. And what about the poor guys that suddenly become ill and end up in the hospital.

This has no affect on the individual, just on the city. I am not sure if they still do it, but games like UO had a much more harsh policy... if you didn't refresh your house once every 2 weeks, it went poof - everything was gone. I remember having to share account info to refresh houses with several friends way back when for vacations and what not. As for legal issues... have you ever actually read the agreements you sign to play this game? Heh, the players have zero rights once they log in

Well they also have some european servers and some of the "agreements" that are legal in the US may very well not hold water in europe.

Well, there was no affect on my citizen count either after todays patch. And I know for a fact that I would stand to loose quite a number of people if it was working correctly. So, it is either not working, or they started the timer today with the patch.

Oh...thanks....I just read the notes.

Citizens will now be removed from a city if they haven't been online for about 6 weeks.

So when it says "about" is it or not 6 weeks?

Lol, nice catch

Is it just me or do other people get the feeling that the devs are not even sure what exactly was changed here. I can just see a statement from the devs tommorow:

"Joe, the programmer who made this change left the company a few weeks ago, and we have not been able to track down exactly what he did. The timer might be 3 weeks or 6 weeks, or somewhere around then. But we're not sure when the timer started, or if it even was startedat all. And of course, since we lacked this information and the patch was only on the test center for a short period of time, there was no way for us to actually test it. But we know that Joe put something in there, so be warned. PS. When you figure out what the heck is going on, can you just let us know?"

I can say for sure that we DID NOT lose at least 3 citizens who we know haven't logged on since before Christmas.

Now, the question becomes...when is this check made?

At city update? If so, we'll find out mid Sunday.

Daily at a certain time?

I can't imagine it's continuous.

Well i logged i briefly last night, and had two messages for "Citizen Lost"

I know that one of them must have removed his house, as Ive seen him around, the other though I havnt seen in an age.

I will check tonight, but either his house just exploded (Hurray... space for a replacement) or the 6 week timer took him out (Booo.. i want my space back).
