I have two accounts and I wish to transfer mayorship from one account to another. There is no way that I could get all the citizens to swap their votes. Is there a way for the incumbent to actually pass along thier office? What if the incumbant removed himself from the mayor race 5 mins before the vote? Would the new char - who would have a handful of votes, win?

I Quote: "You will likely not see many (if any) Jedi in game for a long time (likely months). We're not kidding. Jedi are rare in this time period (between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back). Becoming a Jedi and surviving as a Jedi is very very very very difficult (and rewarding) in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided."

Sorry, there is currently no way for you to back out of the race. This is just another "feature" that proves the impotence of the Politician class.

You may not be able to back out of the race but what happens if you were to drop politician while someone else was on the ballot. Would they become mayor by default?

No in order for this to be done, dropping out of the race an incumbant - You have to destroy the City hall, We learned the hard way when Our city was destroyed by the old mayor, that's when I stepped up.

I just transferred mayorship over to another guildmate as I am starting a second city. I have over 150 citizens and guildmates so keeping them both at tier 4 will be easy and tier5 isnt much of a stretch.

It was an act of god to get them to vote. Do everything you can to get people to vote and go over. I am losing the election by 6 votes right now. However, there are some people that are citizens of the new city that have voted and are on my old city list.

I have the feeling that alsthough it shows me losing at the ballot box it might not be displaying properly.

I dropped all my politician skills 3 weeks ago. Still Mayor. I can even still remove decorations, trainers, terminals, and reset the city spec to none. I cannot, however, add anything to the city.

And voting in SWG is just as bad as real life. Nobody does it unless there is a gun to their head. Until we get a resign option, your option is to pray for votes or destroy the city hall and start over, which most folks don't consider an option.

I have a question about this.....could you just put the city hall right back up in thesame spot as the new mayor and keep your citizens?

I have been given mayorship of a city of about 55 and people arent voting so our mayor who is retiring cant drop out, can he destory the city hall....give it to me, I place it in same spot and then citizens are now citizens again since they are declared at house and are within the boundaries??

Maybe this is just wishful thinking any help would be great, thanks.
