What's the current cap on XP?

I may not want to train beyond Novice for a while, as I want to finishmastering Carbineer.

I'm 3/4/3/4 Carbineer and will need to de-train it soon to move up Politician.

But I don't want to start tapping skill points on Politician till I grab Mater Carbineer as it may be a Holo profession.

How many xp points can I amass before I am forced to spend them.

at novice, you can only get 2k xp (or 20 votes) before your xp will be capped

OK, but after Novice?

lets say I'm 0/0/1/0..

How long till I better fill a box, I don't want to waste 1 vote,

but I was hoping to have tonot train for like 2 weeks ( 2 rounds of xp with about 20 citizens)

the cap on xp is always double the current highest box youre working on. at novice your next skill is 1000 xp away, so your cap is 2000. at 0001, your next skill is 2500 xp away, so the cap would be 5000 (50 votes)

Sweet thanks,

I guess thats the same as all professions? (I don't pay attention, lol)

I was also concerned since we have a little different method of gaining XP, didn't want to ska rew myself...

NOT TRUE!!!!!!!

Political xp is NOT capped the same as other xp. Greenmarine has publicly stated that the cap is more like 20x. I am 1/1/2/4 and currently have over 20k xp. The first election I got 2100 xp and I know of mayors who got over 4k xp their first week and went 1/1/1/1. So political xp is NOT capped at 2 times your highest box.

weird, my city just updated about 7 hours ago, and i didnt get one XP point over the double box cap. even though i should have gotten 100 more. so i would assume that that is the current scheme. anyone got a current update to compare?

there may be a /bug in store......

Add up the required XP for both of the next two boxes up from your hiegest level - that's your cap.
