I am happy to announce that this evening in Nabubu City there will be a new Mayor elected! Please join me in congratulating Briyen Wynters on becoming the new Mayor of Nabubu City!
Briyen formerly played a Mon Cal named Oadilo and is a veteren of SWG havingtested in Beta, andhas beenan outspoken leader in Nabubu Spaceport City for the last 2 years starting even before the launch of Beta. I am happy that he has chosen to step into the challenging roleas Mayor of the largest Player City on Wanderhome server and I have all my faith in him that he will continue to champion for the citizens of Nabubu City the ideals we all share as a neutralPlayer-City. Briyen has stuck with Nabubu City through thefun and the difficult times and continues to look toward the future of SWG.
Congratulations buddy!!
On a personal note I would like to sincerely thank all the 150-plus current citizens of Nabubu City, and the many others that have come and gone that made my term as your Mayor rewarding, challenging, interesting, and most importantly fun. I can't think of a better group of people to be associated with and I have been proud and honored by the privilege to serve as your leader since last April. Some specific veteren Nabubuans I would like to thank for all their support, help, ideas, and colaboration are Arleeya, Jorj, Gabok, Briyen, Nub, Ren, Marc, Zee, and Lia. There are many others, but these have been my strongest allies for a long time now. Thanks.
I would also like to thank those outside Nabubu City that have helped me, encouraged me, and been allies and supporters of Nabubu City. Some of these are Magna-Mayor of Vicimus, Bhin'der-Mayor of Consortia Citadel of Lok, Boro-Mayor of Cairdeas City, Okie-Former Mayor of Vicimus, Osvaeto of HU and our neighbors in Aquilla, Matatodos on the Leadership of New Aldera, and the countless visitors that support our thriving merchant class in Nabubu City.
Only my term as Mayor of Nabubu City has concluded. I am not leaving the SWG or Wanderhome. We Nabubuans believe in and support a democratic process where all the citizens play a vital role in our city. I happily transition the office of Mayor to my qualified successor Briyen Wynters. I will continue to be very active in both Nabubu City and Wanderhome, only now I have more skill points to be active with.
Crack open the jawa beer and celebrate because exciting things are always around the corner!
This is the first time I've ever posted to brag about our accomplishments as I have always thought that actions speak louder than words. Nabubu City was among the first Player Cities to be placed on the Wanderhome Server and was one of the first 10 to be placed on Naboo. We are the largest player city on that server and while we have still failed to crack the elusive 160 citizen barrier we have not dropped below 150 since three months ago when we hit that mark, even with dozens of players coming and going. We have never used cross-server lot trades to inflate our citizen count. We have maintained our large size by being a Neutral Player City housing many guilds and citizens of both factions, as well as true neutrals. We are easily one of the top three merchant cities on Wanderhome and in any given day can be first, second, or third depending on a few competitors' vendor-stock. The residents are mature regardless of their age and play SWG as adults treating fellow players with repect (even while Deathblow'ing them). We are a democracy and not ruled by one person and their will. It is my firm belief that Nabubu City is, and will continue to be, among the top tier of all Player Cities in SWG. We are an example of how players can take a system that is sometimes broken and still do well.
Overall I'd saythat I havehad a fun time playing SWG as a Poliician and that being Mayor can be rewarding. There are still a lot of fixes that need to be done which kind of make me envious toward those future Mayors that will benefit from us pioneers in profession building that started as Politicians the day of Player City Publish.
My successor is Briyen Wynters, a player that goes back with SWG since before Beta. He is an individual that will benefit the Politician community. Please give him the courtesy and support that many of you have given me.
Farewell

Tempel, you are a good friend & a great mayor. You have a right to be proud of your accomplishments with Nabubu City. I'm sure you'll still visit the forum here to pass on your wisdom to the new mayors of SWG just as Okie still does. We still need you veterans coming around here. I wish you much fun & happiness in your retirement.
I'm sure I'll hear from you still & hopefully we can go hunting or fishing sometime. *hugs*
