Thread: A Mayor of Two Cities

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

Anyway, is it possible as mayor of one city to declare residence in another city? Then go and run and win the mayor position there as well? Has anyone tried this? It's a very risky thing to test, but with so many mayors wanting "out", why not let us interested Politicians run more then one municipality?

If I can't be jedi, shouldn't I at least get to rule the galaxy?

No being you can only be a citizen of one city (which are you automatically declared as when you are a mayor of a city) you cannot unfortunetly be a mayor of more then one player city. Personally they should add a prestige class tree (or add skills to current skill boxes) so that you can ascend to the title of Governor. The higher in that skill tree you go the more cities (as with CH and number of pets) you can govern at once. If you are a mayor of more then 10 (or any number that would have to be relatively high) cities on a single planet then you would be allowed to unlock the title of "Governor". This would prevent 1000 Governors running around ruining the rarity and continuity of the title. Just a quick thought...

Just another thought would be this might help combat the number of mayors who are just mayors as a service to their guild and not because they might enjoy the idea of being a politician in the world of Star Wars. This way they would be free to leave their position if they knew it might be easier to find a politician who would be willing to run their city as well. Any thoughts?

I hate to say it, but it is possible to be the mayor of at least two cities.

Owing to an earlybug in the game, there are quite a few players in the game who are residents of more than one city (I know of one who is a resident of 3 at the moment).

Theoretically it is then possible for those players to be mayor simultaneously. The practicalities though are another matter as you have to convince the populaces of two cities to vote you in (and lets face it, its hard enough trying to get elected in one, let alone two )

Hmm, did they actually fix that bug? If not then I'd be more then happy to let you test it out on my backwater burb Bim. You know where I'm at after all and we arepoised to grow to rank 2 (again, you know where I"m at so you know what a daunting task that is) so you could use your wealth of political knowledge to arrange taxes and such for me while I hit the beaches in Bela Vistal That would be an interesting feat to say the least. Get you a page in the annals of SWG history.

I have tried to declare in my own large naboo even though I am mayor of a city and was told "you cannot declare in this residence as you are city mayor". Becareful with your experiment as if you lose both cities customer service reps wont help you get back anything you lost in the process.

I have a house in 2 cities, another, and my auto-declare in my own. I am allowed to vote in the other and I pay taxes, but upon trying to run there, I got the message 'You are already a Mayor'. So you cant be a mayor in two cities, no...
