Hey folks, question on current city standings

lets say for instance a current Player city thats a city, drops to township. has a shuttleport, now from what im readin, the city has a chance to redeem itself on the following week, if it gets back the citizens that were lost. is this correct? what if during the timespan that the city is in a township status, still having a shuttleport (not working) but another city is set to advance 1 day or 2 or whatever days earlier than its next upgrade, which would bring it back to current city standings, will it then lose its chance at keeping its status as a teir 4 city and thus lose its shuttle or will the other cities wait till the following week after the change is permanent if the old city could not get the citizens back within its time?

thanks for the assistance

We had something like that happen. We dropped down to level 3 from level 4 with shuttle. As mayor, I got email saying that shuttle would be deleted if I did not remove it by end of week. We did make it above theminimum citizensfor level 4 but still our shuttle was destroyed because another city took our level 4/5 spot and thus we were not allowed to increase to level 4 when the election happened. The worst part was that we dropped to level 3 due to the bugs involving inactive citizens when the DEV's first put that code in place. We had two very active citizens show up on the inactive list. But CSR's never did anything to help us, so we ended up waiting for a level 4/5 slot to open up. Took about 2 months, but we finally got to level 4 again and put in a new shuttle.

So, my advice is to redeed your shuttle before your election. If you make it back to level 4 (meaning there are less than the maximum number of level 4/5 cities on your planet) then you can always plant the shuttle again. If however you don't make it to level 4, then you won't lose your shuttle.

As for the timing of who gets the open slot for level 4/5, its just first-come first serve. So if your election happens before anyone elses, then you'll get the slot. Generally, if you lose your slot and another city is above the level 4 limit waiting for a slot, then they will get your slot and there is nothing you can do about it. Perhaps you can try to merge with another city, but its pretty hard to get a level 4/5 city mayor to do much of anything because they are in a good position and don't need to bargain.
