I have been fearing this problem for some time now. Ever since I decided that I would for once in my 11 months of running my city do something for myself. I cannot effectively run my city if I ascend to being a jedi. With the fear of bounty hunters and bugged visibility (yeah, I am visible to my citizens a lot for some reason) there is no way I can possibly achieve both of these things. It is like a jedi who wants to be an entertainer on the side, it just isnt gonna work. Now this keeps running through my head:
Me: Welcome to
New Citizen: Wow, thanks for the new house.
Me: You will note that the city does not have any direct taxes upon its citizens and asks for only a small donation when you can spare it. Please note however that there is a small sales tax which helps generate revenue for the shuttleport and our many gardens.
New Citizen: Yes, I have noticed them.
Me: Now if you will only go inside and decl...
*BH eyeshots me and kills me instantly*
New Citizen: Oh my God!
*BH walks up and deathblows me*
Me: /tell NewCitizen you wouldnt happen to be a doc would you?
See the problem? I know politicians are the most unloved profession there is, but I would really like to do something short of abandoning my city. Namely, resign and let my alt or someone else take my spot. Either would be fine with me. However it is not fair to my citizens for me to neglect them because I am unnable to log on in fear of bounty hunters. However it is not my fault that I have progressed to the point of attaining my jedi. I really wish we could get something on just transfering the mayoral powers. Maybe have a check for if the incumbant has the politician skill tree, if not then it goes to the next runner up in the election.
Why cant they just fix this one thing... I really think that would quite down all .2% of the SWG population who are politicians =(
Maybe since I will be a jedi... and they get all the attention... maybe I can wave a few flags for the poor politicians and get some dev attention.
