There was something said by a person I know earlier. He stated that once residence has been declared, a charicter must be logged in minimum every 2 weeks to maintain that residency (hence remain a citizen of a city). Is there any truth behind this, or can anyone shed some light on it for me?

No. This was a system they once were going to implement, but it was buggy so they took out the inactive citizens code.

But this doesn't mean they wont put it back in some day.

In fact I'm pretty sure they will depending on how this 6 month inactive thing works out for them
