I'm trying to figure out the reasoning behind getting metropolis, other than the city limits expanding, and I'm not having any luck. Can anyone tell me the bonuses to getting to that level as opposed to just staying a level 4 city?

I noticed on Ahazi on tatooine in the city of twin suns.... It is a metropolis, and has 100 citizens.

I also noticed in this city it has NPC's wandering about the city...

This could be a perk to the city of that size but unconfirmed because I'm not in that city.

Rank 5 - You can place Theaters. I think that's the main bonus.

Nope, NPC don't walk around the city. The most our city gets is Imperials from the bases on our boarders.

Theaters only require rank 4, or else my city is horribly bugged since we just placed one the other day. I have however noticed that Goontown on Lowca/Naboo has lots of NPCs in it, don't know if this is related to their Metropolis status however.

Lvl 5 gives an increase in gardens and lightposts allowed, and an increase in trainers allowed (the non moving npcs that teach skills). My city has been lvl5 for a long time, and the only npcs we get are occasional Imps or "Thugs" that spawn in the city, and we got them when we were lvl4 as well so they have nothign to do with the city lvl.

Lvl5 doesnt offer much. Lvl4 is really the highest to push. We made Lvl5 just by being who we were. There was no desire to reach it.
