How many people would be willing to use one of their character slots, to help other Mayors get voted into their cities, when the old mayor is gone/dead, wishes to resign, etc...
We could have a list of people who would be willing to create a character on the server in question. They would need travel money to the city, and a deed for a house. We could drop the houses, declair residency and vote, and after the elect, pull up the houses, give the deed back to the Mayor, and wait for the next server/need for help.
I would be more then willing to do this. Anyone else willing to help out? A sort of Mayorial support squad. (grin). The only problem is that the mayor would need money and deeds to get this to work, but if mayors had a place to go to get this support of help to switch over town, it could be very useful. (If the Devs won't give people the /resign option, etc...we just need to find a way to work around it.)

I'd be willing to do it. Just make sure that people understand we (or at least I'll) redeed the house after the fact so it isn't a ghost town. Or just leave low maintenance so it'll asplode a month later.

I would help out - I only play on Ahazi and Kettemoor, so I could create characters on any other server and declare residence as needed.
I would use this service for my own city as well to switch mayorship to my alt probably.

I think thats a great idea, ok so say you only need 50 votes to get your mayor out, thats only 500k worth of small houses (depending on your server prices) if the guild has an architech they could make the houses and when the voting was over let the person give the arch back the house and then they could just sell it on a vendor. Not loosing money and your just saving a city
BTW Im on lowca so if anyone needs me somewhere else i have two accounts that could be used at once.

I would help out. I just want to make note...unless this is "your" city...you might want to inform your citizens about the situation. I can see this being abused in small townships or outposts, where only 5-10 votes could oust a mayor. I know if I had used this tactic to get elected when our previous mayor quit, I would of had a few people very angry with me and the rest of our guild leadership. This could be more useful when only 5 or less votes are needed to finish the election.

I think this would be more for those we learn/find really want a change in leadership. We could require hearing from the head of any PAs in the city, etc... But mainly I'm thinking of it as a way to help cities where the old mayor has left the game or disappeared.

Count me in. I'm on Tempest but on any other server I could round up between 5 and 10 citizen votesin any city to whoever you want as the new mayor.

Well I propose, until things are fixed in game, that we just simply ask for help on these boards.
A list isn't necessary AND 5 stars for asplode!!!!

I think a list of people that are willing to help, isn't a bad thing. Makes it abit easier for people.

I can do this...with 3 accounts, I'm already scattered over a few servers with a few open spots to create wherever.

I'd be willing to help out and I'm sure some of the Citizens of Haven Island would help out as well. As it's been said I will remove the house once the vote has succeeded and delete the character.
