Our city's mayor just retired.

I may be taking over the reigns for a bit but have two questions about politician stuff:
1) If I become mayor do i become owner of city hall, and if so does this take up any lots?

2) If i become mayor and am just a novice politician (aspiring to 4/0/0/0), will the stuff placed by the old mayor (i.e. faction terminals, strucutres) poof? Or will they continue to eist and be maintained as is?

Yes you will (along with it's contents) and No it does not take up lots.

No the city hall Cloning center and shuttleport take up zero lots

They will continue to exist, just don't attempt to move anything you don't have the skill to replace
