hi, Congrats Plinka! i hope the correspondant thing works out...

on to the question, so when a mayor gets voted out and doesnt have lvl 2 features and cant place shuttleports, does the existing shuttleport in a town go poof? or large gardens ect ect...

No, the features are associated with the city, not the mayor. So as long as the city doesn't drop below the size needed to have those features then they will remain.

Plinka, is that true for specialization as well? From the sound of it, once you get everything there is no reason to keep the skill points to be Master Politician, just forfeit them back.

I would imagine that unlike structures the specializations will depend on a mayor with that skill being active. You would not lose the buildings but I would imagine you will find the specialization poofing when the old mayor is voted out.

As you noted this would be one of the few reasons to not just trade out of 90 percent of the profession once your city is setup nicely.

specializations last only a week, the week a politician is in office, can't be applied to other weeks.

so, if you drop below the minimum number of people for a given level of city, your radius shrinks, and your buildings that were placed can suddenly vanish?

..... i don't think i like that idea

i can answer that, the ones that reequire a certain level give you a week to get back your pep's and if you dont will disappear, the other civic structures that dont require certain lvls of peps never disappear, like cantina so on.
