Hmm that's a good point. Many people theorise that Politicians will be rarer than Jedi in a month or two. Makes things tricky

Maybe rarer than FC PCs, but I'd bet that Jedi themselves will be rarer than anything else.

What you really need is a jedi politician. Imagine a mayor with mindtrick!

I dont think this will be an issue. You dont have to be mayor to get experience. You just need votes. Granted the mayor did receive the most vote ie. xp, but that does not preclude you from getting any votes.

Heck, if you have the cash, you could buy votes, make deals to split the votes with the current mayor in a city, actually create a city a really be a mayor instead of grinding out xp.

I am sure if it happened if a future jedi was nice and spread some good bribes around he could get enough sympathy votes that would allow them to level even if they did not get to be mayor.

I doubt holocrons will say master politician.

Not to get all jedi forum (that place is crazy), but our paths are determined when we create our characters and unless the devs are Jedi themselves (Vass teleported to me today, but he's just superman) then politician can't be a preset thing on our checklists. Maybe new players that join after politician is Live will get it, but characters that are in now are likely grandfathered from such a thing happening.

point be taken,

the holocrons that give out what proffession you must master are new as well

and if that doesnt matter, then SOE lied since we all then had to have had a pre-determined proffession we had to master...

In addition to all that was said above, remember it will take WEEKS and MONTHS to Master it. Not like my PA mates who have run through 3 holocrons worth of professions to master in a few days.
