(Sorry to post this on the Politician board, as it applies mostly to Bria, but I thought it had some general concepts as well.)

Some in-game friends and I are starting a player city, but with what we've been reading (check out http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Politician&message.id=500for some startling details), this whole player city idea looks mighty expensive. As such, I'm looking first for, well, anybody to join the crew, to enjoy the city and help us maintain it.

That, however, is a general comment, not a political one. I'm posting here because I figure perhaps the best way to beat the expense is to get two cities to combine--with two citizenry bases, we can rassle up 100 people very quickly. Suddenly, then, that monstrous city maintenance pie looks digestible, split so many ways. Therefore, I'm looking for another aspiring mayor on the Bria server to contact me so that we might join forces--and suggesting a similar maneuver for those of you on other servers. Seems to me it's just another shrewd form of diplomacy--one of the primary functions of the SWG politician--and a very quick way to take care of these infernal costs.

I have 5 people including my self with 10 small homes and a naboo PA and enough faction to get small base. We plan on building a city, but need a Mayor to run it....

Not sure we can help you out. We're neutral, and though I'm certainly not completely inflexible about any faction personally, I know we have members from all sides. So adopting one probably wouldn't work for us. But if you folks feel like running your base out of town someplace, maybe we can work something out. I'm certainly open to suggestions.

There is a long standing player outpost on Tatooine called Halfwayfar (because it's halfway between Bestine and Wayfar). We have someone who will be our future Mayor and a group known as the Halfwayfar Planning Commission (HPC) which I am the chairman of. We have well over 100 homes in the area and, IMO, at least 75% of them should be declared residents. We would welcome your group to our humble town to help us build something great on Bria. We were one of the first player outposts on Bria and we also have the first Player Mall that was build in SWG. Things are a bit quiet and have been so for a while. Hard to find things to do way out in the desert without PC's. We have our own website and forms (www.halfwayfar.com) and have been discussing plans for our town for sometime.
