I'm curious if this type of ravine can have a city hall be placed on top of it?

[there are 'red build zones' if I but a small harvester over top of here in some spots.]

Your in a **edit**ing pit...what do you think? Move to the left or the right, you know the flat land. Might be able to since structures do have had foundation walls showing over a good distance but you won't know until next week.

I've heard that 'shallow ravines' (and this is fairly shallow) can have the city buildings be built on it. Not like houses. I'm wondering HOW shallow it has to be.

There are cities on test.. my question becomes are there examples of city buildings being built on uneven terrain like this?

I hope so. Some people didnt follow the layout exactly and the city hall spot is now partialy shoved over one of those nasty corelian gullies. Of cource i can place it over a bit, but i loose 2/3 my first week voters hehe. ah well at least i can place fountain in the leftover space if not hehe.

Do we know exactly how big the City Hall is yet?

No one experimented with the relaxed terrain placement?

Yes you can most likely, but have you tried something like a PA Hall on it yet?

Pretty much the only way you are gonna get a real answer to this is to somehow get a city hall deed on the TC, find that spot, and try.

A lot of the screen shots i've seen have looked positive. I hae not tried a PA hall, only a small harvester.

As for placing a city hall on the TC, that's probably going to be my plan for the next two days. Somehow get the AP points, train politician and then throw down the hall! I'll keep this thread updated in case anyone else is wondering, and if anyone is willing to help, send me a PM!

If you seen darken ground, like rock, that is flat but makes harvesters unplacable then don't count on it. If you see a slight increase in grade and things can not be placed there now, they most likely can after patch. The terrain placing isn't perfect but a lot better. You will simply not know until you try and that is the best answer anyone can give you. All land isn't the same and all structures aren't the same either. Just a fact.
