Thread: Shuttleport Not Working

Details of a trouble ticket I've submitted this morning:

Shuttle port in Travelers Respite (Player City on Tatooine) located at 1867 -4691 has not worked for at least two days now.

The ticket droid reports "The next shuttle is about to begin boarding" but the shuttle never arrives.

I believe you can still travel TO the city, but no one can travel from the city to anywhere else.

I know this has occurred in the past, in our city, but it usually corrected itself. Perhaps that was at server reset and now once it occurs there is no reset to fix it.

I believe the shuttleport is near a server boundary, which could be leading to the problem. We used to have a garage near the same area and it didn't work 50% of the time. Since I've moved it, no one has reported the garage not working.

Moving the shuttleport is problematic for several reasons:

First, and most importantly, we have a very symmetrical layout, with city hall in the center and then four "spokes" leading off with bank, cantina, shuttleport and medical center at end of each road, respectively.

Second, I didn't keep the skill to place shuttleport so I can't pick it up and put it back down right now and I don't relish dropping other skills for that onetime evolution.

Has anyone else experienced this bug?Any solutions? Can a CSR fix it?

Often times, having the mayor redeed the shuttleport, and then drop it back again will help clear things up. If it does not, CS has the ability to reset the cloning data for the city through a menu option: if we attempt this, we would prefer to have the shuttle picked up and out of the world, so that when it is dropped it has a fresh start.

In the event your shuttleport does straddle a boundary, we should be able to see that when in the area, as long as we're looking for that as a possible issue. We won't be able to provide you with a definitive 'it runs from here to here', but we should be able to give you a basic idea.

As for server restarts: they are cycled every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 4am PST, barring any updates.

Sorry but I ton't think it's reasonable to ask me to leave skill points committed to a single use skill (aka "Plaing a Shuttleport") merely to get around what is undeniably a BUG in the game.
