Thread: Need Help with City Hall Owner MIA

(I just posted this inside someone else's thread but thought I would make a new one for it as well)
In a former city I am trying to revive there is a big unknown, that is who has admin on the city hall, and who owns it.
I am only about 3 hours into politician so assume I know nothing...I have tried searching for my answer with no luck yet...
In all likelihood it is the soon-to-be-former mayor's toon who is long gone that owns it. If it is someone else, they are also likely long gone from Bria. I have toons on miltia, and have a politician toon ready to take over mayor, and housing and voting is going well with new citizens. My concern is that even after the mayor transfer takes place,neither I nor anyone alive on this server willhave ownership or admin access on thecity hall.
What should I be concerned about if anything?
Is there a way to resolve this, have a CSR verify the other char is gone and then take ownership or something?
If I start to build up the city will the building poof one day? Should I let it and place a new one?
If I build up the city and the hall goes poof will the rest of the city remain intact long enough to replace city hall?
Etc?

Since nobody has responded yet I will offer up some more details:
* The town has been a ghost town with 0 active residents although the terminal showed a few for MONTHS
* The old mayor (soon-to-be-former) I assume still has that acocunt active (he had many) or the city would have poofed
* He bailed on the toon, the city, the residents, the server, etc, but might be keeping the account active for another toon
* The city hall has about 4.7 weeks maintenance in it, but between old and new (TC) rules I assume that wont help it poof.
Any thoughts on how to salvage the situation? I will soon be mayor, with happy residents, and a city hall I can't control.

The mayor is also the owner of the city hall, so whoever becomes the new mayor will become the new owner/admin

Basically the old mayor was at the center of a giant soap-opera mellodrama sort of thing.
After a falling-out of sorts he just up and dissapeared. That was many months ago.
If the City Hall transfers over with the Mayorship, that will be the last of our loose ends regarding that horrible drama.

I did the same thing, our mayor moved on to a different server. I took over as mayor and yes you get admin and ownership of the city hall.. but i already knew that from when I conceded the city to her the first time
