Politician Archive
Thread: Mayoral Candidates and Losing them as citizens.
Just a heads up to Bajeezus for something he can add to a FAQ. I am moving out of country soon and have to resign as the mayor of my city. I took it upon myself to host the city's Mall (Guild Hall used as a vendor dump). This took 9 of my lots. The candidate that was chosen to take over as mayor already had a large house in the city.He trained in politician and gained enough votes to take over. When this was done (before the official election), he redeeded his large house so that I could transfer the mall. I got an email saying "Lost Citizen" and knew we had screwed up. So we went ahead and transferred the mall to him. Lo and behold, as soon as he declared residency in the mall, all of the votes for him showed up on the ballot.
So votes are remembered even if the mayoral candidate/citizen leaves the city.
