Thread: It's time for me to leave, now what about my metropolis?

I really enjoyed this game til about 2 1/2 months ago when I decided that I needed to start grinding if I ever wanted to become a jedi. After I ground out 11 or so classes (with my alt)it ruined me forever. I now can't stand to look at this game. I thought my new found hatred for the game would wane but frankly I doubt it will. It literally turns my stomach to log in the 10-15 minutes I log on each day to do routine city maintenance.

I am now looking for some advice as to the quickest exit strategy I can employ to leave but won't screw over the many wonderful people in our Metropolis. If we tried to get another mayor elected it could take literally weeks, and I plan on cancelling next weekend (or as fast as humanly possible), so I can go back to playing other games again and having fun (not spending cash on something I loathe)

I want to cancel my 3 accounts right now: Any suggestions how I could potentially leave, and they could get another
in my place in my absence?

I appreciate in advance any help I receive here.

On Valcyn there is a city of 105 people whos mayor also left weeks if not 2 monthsago now. The city still stands and he is still listed as Mayor so cancelling his account doesnt seem to have effected the city at all. I guess the biggest problem would be zoneing rights but if you give malitia status to enough trusted people they can look after that.

The only problem I can think of that may happen is if you are gone for 6 weeks and they havent replaced you and the devs bring back the inactivity rule. Then again I have no idea if the game code would kick out the Mayor even if he was inactive and the rule came back.

If you have a metropolis, there is a very good chance that one of the citizens would be willing to take your politician account over as a alt, if for nothing more then the 10 lots and a new gameplay twist. make sure you have trust and faith in the buyer. Maybe poll the citizens to have them approve a potential buyer.

I have a great idea.

Change the zoning rights to make it so you can place houses and what not where ever whenever. That way if someon wants to become a citizen and try to coaz their fellow citizens into voting for them then they can do that without you having to bring them in and whatever. If they want to do that they can. Otherwise you will still be mayor but the city will kinda just sit there without any changes a mayor can make. Like trainers and such.

An excellent idea. I will consider this as I review what my options are.

Thanks for taking the time to assist me!
