Thread: IF you are voted out, what happens to all your stuff in City Hall?

Having ownership of a building that can change hands suddenly against your will seems like a bad idea to me. Or will City Hall have no room for furniture, etc? Or does all that stuff automatically go to the new mayor so you'd better not store your stuff there?

City Hall should never be a storage facility.

When the incumbent is voted out, the contents of City Hall all become property of the new mayor. Instantly.

/agree with Plinka, but would put it differently. Think of the City Hall and the items therein as City property. Don't store personal stuff But if the city wants to store stuff there that sounds reasonable to me.

It's city hall, all you should have in there are some couches, torches, tables, and plants. If you can't afford to loose a few of those things then how the hell did you pay the campaign budget?

If the mayor of my town outfitted the city hall nicely, I'd regard that as a commitment from that mayor to the town.

If a new mayor was elected and confiscated the city hall furnishings, I'd vote for the old mayor next election.

So think of it as a campaign expense.

Why would you put a vendor inside of city hall? Either from a RP perspective or different, I mean who is going to go to city hall when you can't enter it for 5 minutes since you previous engagement, and the market part of town will probably be a bit of a distance from it anyway. Just a question, I mean sure there might be people that drop vendors in there...but why?

could be for afew reason

1) rp since u can use ad bark (post to be fixed with patc) to give message to peopel that come to town

2) add in sales tax as it would take many weeks for city to grow to its max radius and some town are already established

3) to make it more lived in u coudl dress up vendor in say storm tropper armour or reble give it a more fatcion feel etc

I mena honestly is tehre any reason to have 6 vendors what a waste for us master merchants

THanks for the info P, that's what I figured. I thought you could declare City Hall as your residence. This indicates to me that it's a city building AND a residence, like the white houes or the Governor's Mansion. I guess I'll have to maintain a regular house too...
