Well i would like the power and as it has been said MANY TIMES, it is hard to filter out those people. The people i needed to revoke was another guild that merged into ours. We all knew each other for years litarlly and it seemed to be a perfect match. Well drama kicked in and they desided to leave. I wanted to revoke the citizainship for them out of a favor and for being good friends even tho they switched sides and did not want them getting the info about the city. It is just sad cause i cant do this one little thing for them just casue they forgot to undeclare before they picked up their houses.

The information on the city management terminal is public knowledge. Anyone from any city from any faction can look at your citizenship roster, maintainence per week, tax, etc...

Unless you were talking about mail sent to 'citizens'....

Ya sorry i was not clear that is what i was talking about was the email system. For now I switched over to the guild email system but I like useing the city one casue i do have a few in the city that are not in the guild that just hang out in the city.

A way to fix it that would be fine with me is if they leave the city they get auto-removed fromthedeclared list once you picked up your house you were declared in.

The mayor has no way to revoke a citizenship...

Only the citizen can choose to revoke citizenship. They do so by using the "Revoke Citizenship" option on the City Management Terminal.

I know it has been brought up before but I think as mayor we should have the right to revoke a citizenship. The common argument about this is that a mayor can grief players. Well, I havea fewpoints about this complaint:

A. If a mayor griefs you, why would you want to live there anyway?

B. I find myself powerless againstimmature kidswho want to do nothing but harass the people that come into my town and follow me around cursing at me. CSR does nothing about this, so don't say report them.

Sorry, but we need some type of power as mayor. I am not saying be a dictator, but we need some type of power against unruly citizens, just like RL. Why even call militia "militia" anyway? They should just call them real estate agents, cause that's all they can do.

Why should we make it easier for players to grief other players? How about what is the value of giving mayors the ability to revoke citizenship?

The smart thing to do is filter your potential citizens.

YEa its easy to invite every tom, d!ck and harry into town to pad your citizen count but then again its like inviting a vampire into your house, cant get rid of them.

Its more important NOT to invite losers into town than it is to get that one more person for a shuttleport.

they don't have to own a house within the city to revoke their citizenship... just have them come to the city hall and use the terminal in the left room, there should be an option for them to revoke their citizenship.

Well, I don't just let anyone in the city. They have to have a reference from a trusted member. That doesn't mean anything though. Some people only become idiots well after they are settled in a city. It is these people that I would like rid my city of. People that make coming to my citya bad experience because they sit in the city square and bother people.

2 part answer:

1) One @sshole does not ruin an entire game, howeverif you up and ride me out of town on a pole Ihave topick up the pieces and start again. Now why do I have to do this? Oh that's right because of 1 @sshole mayor. I can live just fine without 'his' town, but I'd prefer to make the decision about it.

2) Your city must be pretty crappy if the only true draw is the leadership and guidance of the mayor.

B. I find myself powerless againstimmature kidswho want to do nothing but harass the people that come into my town and follow me around cursing at me. CSR does nothing about this, so don't say report them.

Don't worry I won't. However I feel compelled to ask why you want to give these immature kids power over who can reside in their city ex post facto. Some of those immature kids are mayors afterall...

i had this happen to me. A guild moved in and was trying to take over my town. I logged all their chat and filed a harrassment ticket. They would follow me around and taunt me to guild war them everytime i stepped foot in my town. I kindly asked them to leave town a few times, and refered them to another guild if they wanted a guild war. This particualr guild was hell bent on destroying my guild and taking over my town. Or if another guildie did, they would harrass that person to get me to wage war. After i submitted the ticket, it was a day when i got the standard response. After that, i never saw the other people again. So logging the chat and filing harassment tickets do work.
