I'll admit I don't spend alot of time on the politician forums. But the time I spend here I see nothing but pleas to the Devs to give mayors control over what happens in the city they have "control" of. Everyone seems to have the same problems.
1. Caps on planets need to go up.
2. Player houses falling to the waste side need to be removed.
3. Static harvestors within our city borders.
Once and for all is there any word on are we going to get these issues fixed or are we just blowing off steam?
The whole politican profession needs a revamp and from what I have seen has been promised and put on the back burner for so long I don't think it will ever change.

Things are bleak for Politicians and for player cities. Face it, since we are neither Jedi or Bounty Hunters or any other form of combat class we take the lowest priority in game. Player cities and the Politicians are the red headed step children of the Galaxy and will continue to be so. Part of the problem is the developers at first saw player cities as a way to get the masses out of POI cities and lessen the strain on the servers. Back then the mentality was SOE gave us the sandbox the adventure was the players to create. Now it seems to be the opposite, quests driven economies and starship terminals force players to spend most of their time in POI cities.
I agree a major overhaul needs to be put in place. Make player cities a much more viable component of the game. Make it worth the players time to heal in a player operated med center or get buffed in a player cantina.
I have always thought if we could build a player city near the Village we might get some attention. Till then we are a lost cause along with many other non-combat professions.
