I had finally work my city up to get lvl 4 status and our shuttle port we all have been so excited about. I get my city upgrade notice last night and I was denied due to there being to many large cities on the planet. This is a bunch of CRAP. I had to wait to build my city due to there being to many cities on the planet a city collapses and I build my city. Then once (5 months) my little city grows up and should become level 4 with all the perks of it. It gets denied. I really hate when soe comes up with a better plan but doesnt inform anyone to it.

I can see why only so many cities are allowed on a certain planet. But once the city is built to not let it grow just is wrong!!

This information was availble even before player cities could be placed. I remember reading this before you could make city halls.

i had this same problem it took us about one month after we had the people to reach rank 4 to actually get it. i think the system is pretty good and we just have to deal with it.

I feel your pain but the real problems come when you are stuck at rank 2! I can understand limiting shuttleports but its completely unfair not being able to use half my skills! Blah! Wish they could just start the caps at rank 3.

This only became a problem when they turned offstructures dieing when they ran out of money. One of the poorer and less thought out decisions by SOE.

But my friend there is light at the end of the tunnel. the new house pack up system is the first step in getting rid of these houses. Im asuming that when they have made sure there are no bugs with it they will pack up all of the condemmed houses and allow the miners etc to die.

Thus freeing up space for your city and others like it to grow.

The planet caps system may be a good idea in principle but the implementation is flawed as players have no way to know what a planet cap status is.

Try being stuck at rank II for a year and a half. All the while I see 2 ghost towns have like 30 mil in their city coffers. I actually paid a guy to drop his city hal, which he did, and STILL no rank III.

I really think they should just do something about the cities capping and getting stuck at rank 2. I don't care about shuttleports, I don't care about theaters, I dont want a metropolis but I do want to be able to have a good city for my citizens and guild memebers and as nearly a master I can barely use any of my skills. Rank 3 doesn't give a huge city at all, I doubt it would cause many problems allowing us stuck at rank 2 to finally have access to nice abilities like specialisations.

I feel for you: My issue is this:

We have an active community of 75 members for about 2 months now. There were 10 Naboo cities rank 4 or more, until three weeks ago when one was demoted to rank 3. Since then, for three weeks now, it still says that the cap has been met.

I have sent my community members throughout the land to find this other city but there are none. As of right now, we should have been promoted three weeks ago.

I sent a ticket in to a csr, he said review the city caps. I reviewd and they say the same thing. SO i sent another as yet unasnwered one.

I think it a gross diservice that the DEVS and SOE and ect ect do not listen to mayors and other community leaders as they increase medium house foot prints and do not let cities advance properly.

It is SUCH a dufficult thing to be so positive minded and cheer leader like for your residents and other community members yet get horid suport for the CSRs and Devs.

My little rant too

I think the Devs have it tough. Poor guys. I hope they get paid well (or maybe they aren't getting paid enough to care, but anway.... LOL).

On a different note I was wondering why my maintance was higher than it should be. I went through the whole city and counted everything. I was being over charged for items. For sh*ts and giggles I sent CSR a request for review and they actually remove maintaince for two items that the city was getting charged for. It wasn't the amount that was removed (603,500 to 600,500), but it was the response that knocked me on my butt!
