Thread: Update Pending? Quick Question...

I have waited a whole month to become new mayor of my city. I even counted down the 'city advancement' time all up until now. Now, I'm getting this message when cheking city advancement:

"Next City update: Update Pending: Your city will update with the next server city pulse."

My question is (and please only answer if you are sure), does this mean I have to wait for the next server reset?

If not, how long does a "server city pulse" take?

If so, when exactly (or close) are the server resets??

Thank you,

Very odd, I just checked my update a while ago and it appeared on track, around 1 am central time. The only thing the developers may be doing is hot fixing the city maintenance. With property taxes based on structure maintenance and those being on hold currently, players cities are losing money.

Also elections went through last week on Bria and if we are all on the same cycle you will have to wait two more weeks.

I don't think we are all on the same cycle with elections (if that's what you meant). Elections usually take a month and this is the 4th week for my city. I'll know after this hotfix if I am mayor.

City elections are every 3 weeks. The city cycle is once a week. Down time from server resets do affect the timer. The pulse message you are seeing happens evertime a city cylces as the city and the server communicate on what happened and the server check to see if anything needs to be adjusted. It has nothing to do with the server rest, and should be done with the pulse cycle in an hour or so.

Yep, found that out. Thank you for your help, I am mayor now!
