I read the stickies, and came across this:

Q: When does the election cycle end? How do I find out when my election cycle ends?

A: The election cycle ends every third week at the time of the city update. There is no way to tell from the terminal itself what week of the election you are in. The only real way to know is to keep track of when the last election ended and count forward three cycles from then. If it is the first election for the city, the election will take place during the third cycle after your city was founded.

So if I start a city on day 1 of the month, then I believe the city is officially approved or founded 24 hours later, on day 2 (or is it officially founded as soon as I place the guild hall?). The first week ends on day 8, but that's only 6 days after the city is approved. So does this first week count as one of the 3 weeks in the voting cycle? Will my first voting cycle end on day 22 or day 29? Thanks.

The day of placing the city hall (not guild hall) is the start of the cycle. The 24hr thing is to determine if the city is accepted or not based on if you have met the requirements for the planning approval by having enough citizens.

However due to server downtime etc this will move by approx 1 day (in rl) by the time you get to week 3.

Oops - ya. I meant city hall - not guild hall. I don't have a guild hall.

Thanks for the answers...
