Thread: Fixes to /citywarn (alternatives to removal)
Well I know this won't have any impact on what happens but I'll post it nonetheless. What would you consider a way to keep /citywarn but remove/severly limit it's ability for griefing?
Personally I feel that /citywarn and /cityban should be merged into one command /getthe**edit**out to prevent clone cycles and greif that way. (The only time I was killed in a city I was banned before warned so I didn't have to experience it but if I did...)
Up the time before you can get attacked to 5 minutes. This means that if the person is trading with someone or using a terminal they will have enough time to actually call out a pet and leave without having to gallop and pray for good connectivity. If I was using a 56k to play I would probably not even know I was warned until the cloning screen popped up.
Make POI's like the graveyard have a no build zone for 500 meters like a city. And move a person's city hall to at least that distance away (while talking to him and scouting out a good spot) to prevent people from "owning" highly traversed and used areas.
What are your ideas as to help fix the ability as opposed to simply chop it out of the code?
