Thread: Cloning Centers and Citywarn
Devs,
Please take a moment and adjust the code on the cloning centers. The way things are currently, you have created the biggest money sink yet for player citys.
As a visitor\user of a cloning center, you pay 1000 for the clone data + ??? for insurance. Not one dime of that is recorded anywhere as to how much is coming in.
As a citizen of that citizen you get the pleasure of then paying another set of fees in the form of taxes for that facility. This value is totally dependent on your city wealth and tax structure.
If a city facility is bringing money in, should that not go towards offsetting the maintence of said facility? I am not even talking about going into the city coffers as a revenue device (which it should be) but just a method to pay off maintence for that building.
This is a major issue for cities of this level.
Now in addition to the double dipping on the citizens you are now taking the ability away to remove undesirable players from use of a facility they paid for via taxes by removing the militia abilities.
Someone really needs to sit down and think what the point the cities, the mayor and the militia are supposed to do in this game because frankly I don't think you guys at SOE have a clue.
Leave the militia alone and code a secondary clone center in. Problem solved.

Force remove cities from POI areas.
Do not allow people with citywarn TEF to clone in the city they were warned in.
Allow cities to declare for a faction. Do not allow placement of faction deeds unless city is declared.
Do not allow opposing faction to clone in factioned cities. (So they can't be griefed with scanners and other things)

Ya, lets make it so much more complex...... I am sure that will make the situation all better.
Simply changes can happen. What your proposing is nerfing the game to a point where devs control players from themselves. Sorry but I dont want a safety blanket, just a fair shot.
Cities should be affiliated with the side that the mayor that runs them is.
After all if Thrawn(what ever
) was a mayor im sure everyone would think that smurf runs a imperial town.
I noticed that when i clone in my cloneing facility in my town i come out Overt since it is a friendly facility.

Yeah, if you ever died and cloned in a NPC city, it will state that you were set to covert since you were in a neutral city or something like that. I would assume you can stay overt if you clone in your own city.
